it is good to use alternative products, but i still can't completely stop using those containing aluminium salts etc.

Thats what some investigators were thinking...

i think if one uses too much of anything will see the consequences. Best is to use mild products- not too much perfume not too much chemicals, then it is ok.

The no-aluminum deodorants are safest, true. But if you do that there's the problem of dampness in the pits, which is never a pretty feeling. Call me vain but I'll still take my Dove anti-p/deo to the ends of the earth. Best stuff ever!

Teens turn out to be underarmed and dangerous...

A group of young German women used so much spray deodorant in the bathroom of a North Sea youth hostel that it set off a fire alarm and brought the local fire brigade rushing to the rescue, police said Monday.

"The fumes of the pleasant-smelling deodorant were so intense that they drifted up to the ceiling and set off a fire detector," said Volker Buttgereit of the Buesum police force.

Local authorities said they were also surprised the heavy use of deodorant could set off the alarm. "Hopefully the girls will get by with a little less spray next time," said Buttgereit.
