Hi Amina,

I just had Algerian sweets for the first time of the weekend that were almond based and some (I think) had coconut in the center.

can you tell me what they are? and also if you have recipes

Well, you have to describe them a bit more (shape/whether they looked plain and simple or a special design etc) because we have sooo many sweets that are almonds based or coconut based!
And why are you looking for recipes now? You want to make them for you? or for him??

Well, as you can tell from my dress description I'm not really good at describing things There were moon shaped ones that I didn't like because they were too hard. The rest I like so throw me what you have.

Why am I looking? Because I have sweet teeth and my mom and sister-in-law will love them too so I want to make them for my family.

Reason #2: I want to make them for him so that he has something from home

Reason #3: and the most important, his uncle is going to be visiting in March and they will be spending a few days with me to sightsee in NYC and possibly go down to AC. When he's at my house, I want to be able to make them for him too

I know, I'm sucking up, but, girl likes boy, boy likes girl and girl wants boy's family to like her

girls, no talk about algerian food... those of us, in particular men, who are thousands of miles away from home, don't have the luxury of algerian pastry... so it pains me to read anything about home cooking. unless you Fedex me a box full of goodies???
