salam, i love cooking, and thought id contribute a bit to this section, this is something simple and quick , and is great for the winter especially with khoubz el dar or matlou3, try it .

1/2 cup olive oil
1 pound beef, cubed
1 pound chicken, cubed
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 large potato, finely chopped
1 large zucchini, cubed
1 can chickpeas
salt & pepper, to taste
3 Tbs dried mint
6 cups boiling water
1/2 cup fine egg noodles, broken
1 can tomato paste
1/2 cup peas

In a saucepan, brown the meats in oil. Add onion, potato, zucchini, chickpeas and their liquid, salt, pepper, mint and boiling water. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Add the egg noodles, cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the tomato paste. Simmer for 10 minutes and serve hot.

LOL someone stole your post?!!

I'm harira I don't like chorba that much but I love Algeroise chorba, it's very tasty (red one).

My mum gets asked about her harira recipe all the time, she just makes the best harira...my grandma -Ellah yarhamha- used to make an even better harira, amazingly good...do you believe in what we say "el benna fel yedines"??
