Ingredients:

You'll need:

1- Shredded Fillo dough (qtayef) -Shred it to shorter strings-.



2- Ground almond mixed with sugar and cinnamon

3- Melted butter



Method:

1- Fill half way the muffin tins with shredded dough.

2- Press it down and add a table spoon of the almond mixture.

3- Fill the second half with more shredded dough. Press it down to make more space.

4- Top with one tea spoon (or more) of butter.

5- Decorate with whole almonds.



6- Bake at 300 degrees F. until it's brown.

7- While the qtayef are baking, prepare the syrup (water, sugar, vanilla, a little honey).

8- When the qtayef are done, pour the syrup, about two tablespoons each.



Best served warm.
