Azul everyone, i am new here to this site! I am returning to Algeria this summer to stay with friends again (2nd visit for a Canadian) I would hope to be able to cook and bake something different for them while I am there. (haha) I know when i was there last, I only saw LA VACHE QUI RIT basically in the food stores there. I am wanting to know if an equivalent to the Philadelphia cream cheese might be obtainable in algeria -I believe a similar french cheese would be called Neufchatel? But I am not certain. So if anyone out there, who happens to be in algeria right now, and if you happen to be going to the grocers there next time, can you see if I have any possibility of finding this?? (Folle, je sais) If not, I suppose I might have to try with straining yogurt into some sort of cream cheese. I imagine this request sounds very bizarre, but it is important to me.
